First Day of School

Just a little update. I am going back to work Monday the 24th... and with that, Landon is going to school too! He will be attending daycare here in town, and we're really excited for his new adventure. I hate to leave him, but we all have to grow up sometime!

I'll update with more info Monday night, after his first big day.

** UPDATE**
Landon is adjusting very well to daycare. He really likes the ladies who are with him during the day. They report to us that he is very "content" and "pleasant". Landon is the type of kid who functions very well being cuddled or laying on a playmat stretching and kicking. Adam and I are very pleased. Landon has three friends in his room, and they are all under 6 months old. It is fun to see all the babies at different stages of development, and see what we have to lookforward to.

Landon lights up whenever his mommy or daddy come to pick him up. He is starting to recognize our voices, so the afternoons are alot of fun for us.

Happy Birthday LANDON!! (One Month)

- Landon Tyler Atcher - 1 Month Old -
We celebrated Landon's 1 Month Birthday on August 9th. He's growing like a weed!! At his last check up (4.5 weeks) Landon weighed 8 lbs 2 oz, and was 20.5 in long. He is healthy and sleeping well. We are only up once during the night to feed him. Landon sleeps about 5 hours at a time, so his daddy and I are much more pleasant to be around.
Nana (JoLynn) took some lovely pictures of him. Here are a few of our favorites:

New to This...

Typically I'm a Facebok junkie, but I know that alot of the family isn't. So - I'm attempting to keep everyone updated on our lives through a blog. Bare with me, I'm not super computer savy. However I will try to update regularly.

Currently - Our little Landon is 4 weeks old and a joy! We are loving this new experience and learning a little more every day. Adam and I bought a house on the golf course where I grew up, near my parents and grandparents. Adam's parents are just a few minutes away - so we have lots of help! :) We love having our family close by & are thankful that we are all so close.

I must not forget our first child - Pepper, our three year old border collie. She's wonderful and loves her little brother, Landon. She goes with him for walks and loves watchung him during tummy time.

Now, for the pictures...

Adam and Landon in the hospital. He's just a few hours old.
We took lots of naps!

When we brought Landon home, Pepper was very curious. She sniffed him, and sniffed him.

Bright eyed. Here he is just a week old.

My FAVORITE picture! This is just after a bath. He screams and screams when you take him out of the water... and once he's in his towel, this is the look you get. He'll stare at you for minutes. It's like he's thanking you for Saving Him from the cold. :)

Taking a nap at Nana and Pappy's (Jerry & JoLynn Shipp) in the cradle that Pop Woodson made for me 26 years ago.

The sweetest face, ever!
Adam loves the way Landon sleeps. It's so cute.
